Chargers Defeat Saints in Preseason Play

The Chargers are now halfway through their preseason slate.

The Bolts picked up another preseason win Sunday as they earned a 27-13 victory over the Saints at SoFi Stadium.

Here’s a game recap from the Chargers second preseason game:

Turning Point

There wasn’t much action between the teams in a scoreless opening quarter.

But Caleb Murphy changed that narrative on the first play of the second frame.

The Chargers outside linebacker came screaming around the edge on second-and-9 to tally a strip-sack on Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler.

Justin Eboigbe recovered the fumble at the Saints 33-yard line, which led to the Chargers first points of the game on a 44-yard field goal from Cameron Dicker.

Murphy, who notched 2.0 sacks on the day, has had a strong camp and could find himself on the 53-man roster if he keeps up his stellar play.
