Channing Tatum and his lookalike daughter Everly made an adorable pair at the Los Angeles premiere of Demon Slayer: Infinite Castle—which Tatum admitted scored him “cool dad points” with his 12-year-old.

Tatum—who shares Everly with his ex-wife Jenna Dewan—brought his daughter to the September 9 premiere, where the preteen looked grown up in a pale blue gown that was off-the-shoulder and ruffled. Tatum told People that his role—and getting to attend the premiere alongside her dad—upped his “cool dad” score, despite saying just days before that, no matter how many of his movies Everly sees, he would never be “cool to her.”
“She has seen tons of them,” Tatum told E! News at the Toronto International Film Festival of his films. “She’s like, ‘Whatever, I don’t wanna see those.’ She acts like she doesn’t care.”

It seems Demon Slayer: Infinite Castle hit a little different for Everly, who Tatum called “the most brilliant magical being that I have ever known” in the dedication to his first children’s book, The One and Only Sparkella. He also referred to his daughter as his “greatest teacher.”

After Everly’s birth in 2013, Tatum and Dewan divorced in 2018, which he told Variety in a new cover story published this month was “a painful break to have that fall apart, especially being so young.”
“It’s really tough not to have your daughter half the time,” he added. “I wish I could just have her all the time.”

Back in 2021, he spoke of becoming a single dad, saying that he “had a lot of fear about connecting to Everly in every way that a little girl might want. I didn’t wear nail polish or know how to braid hair. But I jumped with both feet into this magical world, and I was rewarded with a kind of love that I don’t think I would have ever been able to have otherwise.”

Tatum frequently brings Everly to concerts like Taylor Swift and Kelsea Ballerini, and said on an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers that seeing shows “with your daughter is very different because, you know, you gotta, like, go in. I was dancing like I’d never danced before.”
Referencing his Magic Mike movies—where he plays a male stripper—Tatum joked, “I’m so grateful that she doesn’t know how I dance.”
