Changes announced as flood risk continues

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Organizations have begun announcing schedule changes because of flooding or the threat of flooding as rain continues to affect the Lowcountry.

Charleston County

  • The Charleston County Public Library’s Main location on Calhoun Street, its West Ashley location on Windermere Boulevard, and its Johns Island location on Maybank Highway, have closed on Saturday.
  • The French Huguenot Church in downtown Charleston will be closed for services on Sunday because of the weather.
  • The Marcus King Band Family Reunion has been moved from Firefly Distillery to the North Charleston Coliseum because of the weather.

Dorchester County

  • Dorchester County School District 2: All Dorchester District Two activities are canceled for Saturday.

A flood watch remains in effect for most Lowcountry counties through 2 a.m. Sunday.
