Capcom Fighting Collection 2 title update patch notes











This past weekend at Evo 2025, a new title update for the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was revealed, containing new content and features for the various titles.






Now, Capcom has released the official patch notes for the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 update to reveal everything that’s being added / changed in the compilation.









As was announced in the trailer, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper is receiving four new playable characters from Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max being Ingrid, Eagle, Maki and Yun.


The notes detail, however, that these fighters cannot be used to play the game’s online Casual or Ranked modes.


They also added new gameplay style modes to Upper’s EX Settings that changes up how the game operates, including one that basically turns the game into Street Fighter 2.


There are new CAP-JAMS tracks added to Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Power Stone as well as more than two dozen pieces of artwork to be found in the Museum.


Capcom vs. SNK Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Power Stone 2 gettings some changes and additions as well.

Museum > Music

– Added a new song to Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001.

– Added a new song to Power Stone.


Museum > Gallery

– Added 12 new pieces of artwork to Capcom Fighting Collection 2.

– Added 17 new pieces of artwork to Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper.



Capcom vs. SNK Millennium Fight 2000 Pro


Training Mode

Training Menu > Dummy Settings

– Added the Fixed 100% option to the Groove Gauge setting.



Capcom vs. SNK 2 Mark of the Millennium 2001


Training Mode

Training Menu > Dummy Settings

– Added the Fixed 100% option to the Groove Gauge setting.



Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper


Added the Additional Characters setting to EX Settings.

About Additional Characters

When this option is On, the additional characters Eagle, Maki, Yun, and Ingrid will be available.


Note: Additional characters will be disabled for casual and ranked matches.



Training Mode

Training Menu > Dummy Behavior

– Added the settings Damage Reduction and Timing Guard.

– Added the following five options to the Recovery setting.

Midair Recovery (neutral), Midair Recovery (forward), Midair Recovery (backward), Ground Recovery (close), Ground Recovery (far)


Training Menu > Dummy Settings

– Added the Fixed 100% option to the Super Combo Gauge setting.

– Added the Mode Select setting to EX Settings.

Available options are On, Off, and Original. When this option is On, mode selection is possible on the character select screen.



About Mode Select

When this option is On, a mode select menu appears on the character select screen.

Available modes are NORMAL, MAZI, SAIKYO, and CLASSIC.



MAZI

• The amount of damage you deal and receive are increased.

• In addition, you lose the match if your opponent wins a single round.



SAIKYO

• Your Guard Power gauge is shortened, and you are easier to stun.

• However, the score you earn is increased.



CLASSIC

• This mode makes the game similar to Street Fighter 2.
Super Combos, air guard, and recoveries cannot be used, and the Guard
• Power gauge is disabled.



Note: These modes cannot be used in casual or ranked matches.

– Added the Fixed 100% option to the Super Combo Gauge setting.

Power Stone 2


Implemented various fixes.
