Camp heats up with 1-on-1 drills

Winston has found a connection with tight end Greg Dulcich, and the two recorded a pair of touchdowns. The first was the highest degree of difficulty as Dulcich somehow came up with the ball through a group of defenders.

Cornerback Dru Phillips, last year’s third-round choice, grabbed the first of two interceptions for the defense on the day. Cornerback Tre Hawkins III notched the other on a short pass to the sideline.

During 1-on-1 drills, safety Tyler Nubin and cornerbacks Deonte Banks and O’Donnell Fortune forced incompletions. On the other side of the field, the linebackers got in on the action, with Bobby Okereke (two), Micah McFadden, and Ty Summers breaking up passes.

There was about to be a No. 44 vs. No. 44 collision with Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles blowing up a run play on handoff to the rookie Skattebo.

Outside linebacker Brian Burns also timed up a snap perfectly for what would have been a tackle for loss.

Defensive lineman Elijah Garcia bottled up the quarterback on a play, which ended up going nowhere.

Outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux, whose offseason emphasis is to finish more plays (he had five half-sacks in 2024), notched a would-be sack in practice.

Cornerback Nic Jones, who had a pick-six on Day 1, came screaming off the edge for a would-be sack on one play.

Fellow cornerback Cor’Dale Flott poked the ball out on a play that likely would have been reviewed to determine if the receiver had possession first. Either way, it was a quality play.
