Bunnie Xo is clapping back against “shallow” remarks regarding her husband Jelly Roll’s dramatic weight loss.
The “Dumb Blonde” podcast host, whose real name is Alyssa Ford, posted a TikTok on Saturday, Sept. 27 in which she called out fans who have now described her husband as “hot” after shedding several pounds.
“Is he? ‘Cause he’s always had the same face,” she said. “He’s always had the same heart. He’s always had the same soul.”
She then told people what they should rather be saying about Jelly Roll.
“I think the most appropriate thing here to say is he looks so much more healthier now that he’s lost weight,” she said in the video. “We gotta stop living in a ‘Shallow Hal’ world guys. ‘Cause you know what? You might miss out on the best love of your life by judging somebody by their weight.”
Jelly Roll first opened up about his weight loss journey in April when he revealed was down to 357 pounds from 540.
“I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds,” he told Pat McAfee during a live appearance, per Taste of Country.
The country music star, whose real name is Jason DeFord, addressed his slimmer figure during a performance in Vatican City for the God of the World concert in September.
“I can fit in Louis Vuitton now. Pray for my bank account,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Sept. 15.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have been married since 2016.
