NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans Police Department and Coroner’s office provided an update in the death investigation of 12-year-old Bryan Vasquez.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office said Wednesday that 12-year-old Vasquez died from blunt force trauma due to an alligator and drowning.
Vasquez, a non-verbal Hispanic male, was found in the water near the 13000 block of Sevres Street close to where he was last seen..
The manner of death remains under investigation, the coroner said.
Vasquez’s body was found 12 days after he was reported missing.
