Bruce Branch, the No. 1-Ranked Player in 2027, Moves Up to the 2026 Class

The 2026 class just got a whole lot stronger with the addition of No. 1-ranked prospect Bruce Branch. Branch will reclassify from the 2027 class to the 2026 class, On3’s Joe Tipton confirms.

The 6-foot-7, 185-pound small forward from Prolific Prep (Gilbert, AZ) currently holds offers from the likes of Arizona, Kansas, Arizona State, UCLA, Xavier, West Virginia, Texas, Kansas State, and USC, among others. Sources tell KSR+ that Kentucky offered Branch during the summer, but it was never announced publicly.

The staff was in to see him earlier this fall. Branch told KSR over the summer that Kentucky assistant coach Cody Fueger is the main one in contact.

“My boy Fueger, one of my guys right now, he’s texting me almost every day,” Branch told KSR. “We be FaceTiming, talking. I saw him in the stands right now, that’s one of my guys.”

“We just talk about everything,” he added. “Last time he called me, we talked about the tournament, talked about family, my mom, my brother. The thing about Fueger is he always asks how my day is. That’s one thing about me, I love conversation, I love relationships, and building a relationship really helps.”

Before his reclassification, Branch was ranked as the No. 1 overall player in the Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals also had Branch as the top player in the class.
