Browns rookie QB Shedeur Sanders’ sideline frustration raises questions

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns’ preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams was supposed to be Shedeur Sanders’ moment to shine. Instead, it became a revealing glimpse into the challenges of developing a rookie quarterback with both immense potential and concerning habits.

When head coach Kevin Stefanski pulled Sanders before a potential game-winning two-minute drill — the same opportunity given to fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel earlier in the game — cameras caught Sanders’ visible frustration on the sideline. Veteran quarterback Tyler Huntley entered the game and led the Browns to a 19-17 victory, while Sanders watched from the sideline with a towel draped over his head.
