Brooke Hogan’s Husband Reveals Real Reason Behind Her Fallout with Hulk Hogan

Brooke Hogan’s complicated relationship with her father Hulk Hogan is very well known at this point. While many believed Brooke Hogan’s estrangement from her father was related to his third wife Sky Daily, it appears that wasn’t the case at all.

While speaking to PEOPLE, Brooke Hogan’s husband Steven Oleksy says that Brooke’s decision to stop talking to her father in the two years before his death had nothing to do with his new wife, Sky Daily, despite what Hulk may have claimed.

According to Oleksy, Hulk pushed the idea that Brooke disapproved of his new marriage, but that simply wasn’t true. Oleksy says the real issue was how Hulk treated Brooke.

“My wife will say it — it had nothing to do with his new wife. It had to do with the way he treated [Brooke]”

Oleksy explained that Brooke had supported her father through many of his controversies over the years, including the scandal where Hulk was caught using racial slurs in a leaked audio recording and that emotional toll eventually became too much for her.

When Brooke and Steven got married in June 2022, Hulk chose not to attend and declined to walk her down the aisle, saying, he “doesn’t do weddings or funerals anymore.”

Afterwards, Oleksy says that over a “series of phone calls” between Brooke and Hulk, “there were some things said, and a lot of mistruths” and that became the breaking point in their relationship.

Despite the strain, Oleksy said he stayed in contact with members of Brooke’s family, trying to understand whether to help mend the relationship or protect his wife. Over time, every conversation he had with Hulk led him to believe that the best choice was to stand firmly by Brooke’s side and protect her from further pain.

“I remained in contact with members of her family to try to keep that door open and understand if I should protect my wife or try to mend the relationship. Each and every conversation just led me further to protect my family and my wife at all costs.”

This comes after Brooke Hogan allegedly walked away from Hulk Hogan’s will before his passing and after that, Brooke claimed that WWE never even invited her to their tribute shows for her father in the first place. Regardless, their relationship didn’t get repaired in the end and nothing could have been done at that point.
