Brooke Hogan honored her late father, Hulk Hogan, in her own way by opting for a beach day instead of attending his funeral.
The 37-year-old, who is one of the WWE wrestler’s two children with ex-wife Linda Hogan, shared a series of photos on Instagram showing her at the beach with her husband, Steven Oleksy and their 6-month-old twins, Oliver and Molly. The post was shared hours after it was reported that Hulk was honored in a memorial service in Florida.

“My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn’t want one,” she wrote in a lengthy post after her dad’s July 24 death. “And although I know people grieve in many ways – and I’m so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how…privately…the way that made me feel the closest to him.”
“The only thing missing today was him in is pop up lawn chair watching the waves… and the sunset,” she wrote.
“Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved,” Brooke added.
She wrote that her daughter, Molly, “loved the water.” Brooke wrote, “I think she’ll be a ‘little fish’ as you called me.”
“We love you and honor the things that made you so special,” she concluded. “Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you.”
Brooke opened up about being estranged from her father months before his death. In a March social media post, Brooke claimed she was “verbally and mentally abused since childhood” and said she “watched others benefit financially off my suffering and embarrassment caused by their selfish behaviour.”
Though Brooke reportedly reconciled with her dad before his death, her husband revealed that she requested to be removed from Hulk’s will back in 2023.
