Bombshell Report About Bill Belichick, UNC Football Surfaces Before Friday’s Game

In a plot twist that feels like it was straight out of an HBO series, a bombshell report on Bill Belichick’s North Carolina football program was revealed that may have exposed a betrayal on his own staff.

Several months ago, sports journalist Pablo Torre reported that the school had internally decided to bar Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson from being involved with the program and being allowed into the buildings. North Carolina quickly responded by refuting Torre’s report, but many believed that the Tar Heels were simply doing damage control.

On the newest episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out, Torre accused North Carolina General Manager Michael Lombardi of being the one who barred Hudson from the facilities in the first place. Lombardi is a longtime friend and associate of Belichick, with the two of them working together ever since Belichick’s days with the Cleveland Browns.

“The ban of course was disputed by Carolina,” Torre said. “The school clarified that she was going to continue to manage Belichick’s personal life, she’s not involved at all in the football side and is not an employee of the University in any way. But she was very much welcome in the building. But, one thing that I do want to report publicly now, which I’ve been waiting to report, was that there was this disputed whole thing that I was blamed for.”

“The person who told multiple people around the program that Jordon was no longer involved with the football program and was no longer allowed in the building was, you guessed it, North Carolina General Manager Mike Lombardi. I don’t even know if Jordon knows that.”

It’s not clear if this is new information he just found out or something that he’s been sitting on for a while, but it would be quite the betrayal if Lombardi were the one who allegedly banned Hudson before backtracking on it after the move became public.

Belichick at UNC

Things have gone off the rails for the Belichick-North Carolina experiment. The team is 2-3 but those two losses have come against non-power conference opponents (one of which is an FCS school) and their three losses have all been blowouts.

It is widely anticipated that North Carolina will wash their hands of Belichick at the end of the year regardless of whether the team finishes the year in a bowl-eligible position. While his buyout may be expensive, the frequency of the bad reporting combined with the bad results is quickly causing more problems than solutions for their ailing football program.
