Ozzy Osbourne died “out of hospital cardiac arrest” and “acute myocardial infarction,” according to a death certificate obtained by “The New York Times” and “The Sun.“
Per the reports, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction were listed as “joint causes.”
“The Times” reports that Osbourne’s daughter Aimee submitted the death certificate at a registry in London.
Osbourne, known as the Prince of Darkness, died July 22 at the age of 76.
A heavy metal icon, and the face of Black Sabbath, died “surrounded by love,” his family said in a statement at the time.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”
Osbourne’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, revealed in February that the Parkinson’s disease he was diagnosed with in 2023 had left him unable to walk but “doesn’t affect his voice.”
The news came not long after he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates – Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, for a final show earlier this month.
He became a founding member of Black Sabbath in 1967. Hits like “Paranoid,” “War Pigs” and “Iron Man” made the band highly regarded as a major influence in the development of heavy metal music.
