Down 15 points with less than 12 minutes to play against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night, Allen rallied his Bills for an improbable 41-40 victory to kick off the season. Allen quarterbacked the Bills to three straight scoring drives to garner the win, first hitting receiver Keon Coleman for a 10-yard touchdown off a tipped pass, then rushing it up the middle for a 1-yard score and finally finding Coleman again for a 25-yard gain to set up kicker Matt Prater‘s 32-yard game-winning field goal. When the instant classic had ended, Allen had completed 33 of 46 passes for 394 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions and a 112.0 pass rating to go with 30 yards on the ground and another two scores.
