Ben Affleck Wants to Get Back Together With Ana de Armas: Insiders

Ben Affleck is seemingly not over one of his exes, and no, it’s neither Jennifer Lopez or Jennier Garner. Insiders told Closer Online UK that after Ana de Armas’ breakup with Tom Cruise, he has his eyes allegedly set on being with her again, especially since she allegedly possesses a quality Lopez didn’t have.

“Ben Affleck is still carrying a torch for Ana De Armas and convinced they’ve got unfinished business, which he’s determined to re-explore in the wake of her sudden split from Tom Cruise,” insiders said to the outlet. “He’s planning to reach out and check in; he basically wants to test the waters and see what his chances are for a reunion. He’d love to see if there’s something there because she’s someone he hasn’t been able to forget. Even when he was with J.Lo he’d bring her up to friends and talk about how great she is. Their chemistry was off the charts, but the timing was all wrong back then.”

“Nearly five years have gone by though and they’re both in very different head spaces,” they added. “It’s no secret that Ben’s been pretty lonely lately so that’s a big part of this. He’s been single for more than a year and that’s really not by choice, he just hasn’t had any luck finding someone that he clicks with. That’s why he’s looking at the past and obsessing over Ana. He says he regrets taking her for granted and wants to make it right.”

This totally checks out when you remember back in March 2025, when the rumors about Armas and Cruise started, insiders claimed Affleck wasn’t too happy about it. Insiders told DailyMail that he feels like if he stayed with her, he could’ve “dodged the JLo bullet.”

Insiders added to Closer Online, “He says it was so easy to be around her, there was never any drama. She’s a very laid back person and after being with J.Lo he’s realised that’s a quality he needs in a partner. It doesn’t hurt that she’s absolutely stunning. It’s been eating at him that he let her go so easily and he doesn’t see any reason not to try again.”

For those who don’t know, Affleck and Armas first met in 2019 while filming the psychological thriller Deep Water in New Orleans. Within only a few months, they went on vacation together and went Instagram-official, per InStyle. In June 2020, they took a vacation with Affleck’s mother, Christine Boldt, children, and dogs, per People.

However, just as quickly as they got together, it all suddenly ended in January 2021. Sources told People that their breakup was due to all the prying eyes, and de Armas not wanting to live in Los Angeles, saying, “She broke it off. Their relationship was complicated,” the source said. “Ana doesn’t want to be Los Angeles-based, and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles.”
