Battlefield 6 Open Beta Release Date Revealed In A New Leak

A new rumor may have just revealed the Battlefield 6 open beta release date, with more details surfacing in an official social media post from the developer.

Battlefield 6 is easily one of the most anticipated shooters of the year, and the excitement is only building as we get closer to its official reveal. EA has been keeping things mostly under wraps, running a string of “Battlefield Labs” closed playtests, where select players got early hands-on time.

Due to these early playtests, there have been plenty of leaks around the gameplay, modes, maps, and more. Now, all these leaks are starting to connect the dots, and it looks like we might be much closer to an open beta than most people expected.

Hints about new features, updated game modes, and technical improvements have kept the Battlefield community busy, but a fresh leak just dropped a potential release date for the Battlefield 6 open beta.

Battlefield 6 Open Beta Date

The latest information comes from a well-known Battlefield news channel, 1BF, which shared on Telegram that the open beta build for Battlefield 6 is currently scheduled for August 4th. According to their post, “Open beta build is currently scheduled on 4 Aug. Build number is 5 numbers ahead than latest BF Labs build.”

This is a big deal because it means the open beta will be running on a newer, more polished version than what previous testers experienced, so players can expect a much smoother experience and lots of changes based on early feedback.

Just today, the official Battlefield social media channels posted about “Open Weapons vs Closed Weapons,” letting fans know that, for the first time, players will get to choose between official playlists with signature weapons locked to each class, or go fully open with no restrictions.

The post teased, “Why not both? Starting at Open Beta, players can choose official playlists with Signature Weapons locked to class, or not. More to come.”

If that wasn’t enough, a content creator recently received a creator package directly from EA, which all but confirmed the game’s official title as simply “Battlefield 6.” The promo crate even had classic mode names like Conquest and Breakthrough printed on it, suggesting that EA’s official reveal event is likely right around the corner, possibly by the end of this month.

As always, it’s important to take these leaks with a grain of salt until EA makes things official.
