Bad Bunny Is Getting Too Chummy With The Cast

Saturday Night Live kicks off its second half-century this weekend, but is the host just a little bit too familiar with the staff? Have a look at the first promo for Episode 1 above.

Sarah Sherman and Marcello Hernandez are sitting on the SNL set when she notes that Bad Bunny “has been here a lot recently — think he’s getting comfortable with us?” Her castmate replies, “Yeah, for sure. But I can’t tell if he’s, like, too comfortable.”

Uh, yeah, he is.

Cut to quick takes of the King of Latin Trap being more than a little chummy with others at Studio H8 — using Jane Wickline’s toothbrush and later asking for a breath check, calling Ben Marshall by a rather inappropriate nickname and informing newcomer Veronika Slowikowska that “my friend, his baby and his dog” will be staying with her for the week. And they all bite.

It ends with poor Marshall being led around by the musician in a noogie-powered headlock while pleading, “Please let me go!”

But ultimately all is well as the cast gears up for Saturday’s Season 51 premiere on NBC. Bad Bunny is hosting for a second time, with Doja Cat making her debut the musical guest. SNL alum Amy Poehler is hosting on October 11, and Sabrina Carpenter does double duty as host and musical guest the following week.
