Austin Reaves drops career-high 51 points to carry Lakers past Kings with both LeBron James, Luka Dončić sidelined

Austin Reaves picked up all of the slack on Sunday night.

Reaves, with both LeBron James and Luka Dončić sidelined due to injuries, absolutely carried the Los Angeles Lakers in what ended up being a historic outing for him at the Golden 1 Center. Reaves finished just shy of a triple-double with a career-high 51 points to lift the Lakers to a 127-120 win over the Sacramento Kings.

Reaves had 11 rebounds and nine assists to go with his 51 points. He shot 12-of-22 from the field and had six 3-pointers, too. Naturally, that earned him plenty of attention.

The win pushed the Lakers to 21 on the year after they split their first two games at home last week. They’ll host the Portland Trail Blazers next on Monday night.

This post will be updated with more information shortly.
