At Home announces 6 additional store closures: See the list

Six more store closures have been announced by national home furnishings retailer At Home. According to Newsweek, the retail chain confirmed the additional closures in a July 24 court filing.

The six stores set for closures are located at:

  • 3271 Market Place Drive, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
  • 101 Randall Road, Lake in the Hills, Illinois.
  • 3175 W 3rd Street, Bloomington, Indiana.
  • 3100 Washtenaw, Ypsilanti, Michigan.
  • 2341 Route-66, Ocean Township, New Jersey.
  • 190 South 500 West, West Bountiful, Utah.

The latest round of closures comes after the company announced earlier this year that it would close 22 locations across the U.S. Eight of the previously announced closings were for stores in California. Other states facing multiple closures include Illinois, New Jersey and New York.

The closures are part of the company’s ongoing Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. The company filed for Chapter 11 protection earlier this year in order to help eliminate $2 billion in debt.

At the time of the bankruptcy announcement, At Home said it operated 260 stores in 40 states.

At Home is just one of several large national retailers who’ve filed for bankruptcy protection or closed stores this year. In March, Dollar General confirmed it was closing 96 stores in early 2025. In May, Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy and began closing numerous locations. In June, clothing retailer Torrid announced plans to close up to 180 stores this year.
