Apple is holding its iPhone 17 launch event, dubbed ‘Awe dropping,’ on Tuesday, September 9. And the event logo on Apple’s website comes with a fun easter egg.
iPhone 17 event logo is interactive on Apple.com
The logo for the just announced iPhone 17 event includes what looks like an infared version of the Apple logo.
Like with most Apple events, the logo has a dynamic version that animates, as shared by CEO Tim Cook in a video posted on X:
But Apple has a special easter egg built into the event logo this year too, as spotted by Aaron Perris.
If you visit Apple.com, you’ll see the event art featured prominently at the top. And for the first time, the Apple logo for the event is fully interactive.
Tap and drag or click and drag on the logo and you’ll see the colors swirl to follow your movement.
Essentially, the Apple logo acts as a heat map that tracks your movement. So wherever you’re pressing and holding will light up red, with a yellow shimmer around the edge of your touch or click.
Play around with it by visiting Apple’s website and giving it a try.
Do you think Apple’s event logo and tagline have a special meaning related to the announcements? Let us know in the comments.
