Apple Watch Ultra 3 is coming very soon, and an image discovered in the new iOS 26 beta just revealed that a larger screen is apparently on the way.
New Apple Watch Ultra 3 display resolution discovered in iOS 26
Aaron Perris posted on X today about his discovery of a new image in iOS 26 beta 5 that seems to be connected to the forthcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3.
The Apple Watch image has a display resolution of 422 x 514, a slight bump from current Apple Watch Ultra models’ 410 x 502 dimensions (via MacRumors).
Since no existing Apple Watch model offers this 422 x 514 resolution, and Apple Watch Series 10 just got an increased screen size last year, the image appears to be confirmation of a slightly larger Apple Watch Ultra 3 display.
Apple could be planning to increase the size of the new model overall. That might allow packing even more battery into the device than ever.
Another possibility is that the Ultra 3 will have the same case size, but thinner bezels to accommodate the larger display.
Outside of this larger screen size, Apple Watch Ultra is rumored to include features like:
- Satellite connectivity for messaging
- High blood pressure detection
- LTPO3 OLED display for more frequent always-on refreshes
- 5G cellular
- and an S10 or S11 SiP
Apple is expected to hold its big iPhone 17 event on September 9. Based on past years’ pattern, that is likely when the company will unveil its Apple Watch Ultra 3 also.
