Another former WWE champion made their AEW debut during tonight’s episode of Collision in Glasgow, Scotland.
In the second half of a double TV taping at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on Wednesday night, tonight’s AEW Collision saw a pair of former WWE stars make their in-ring debuts in AEW.
Following Glasgow’s own Isla Dawn showing up to challenge Megan Bayne earlier in the night, fellow former WWE NXT UK alum Mark Andrews too made his first AEW appearance during the taping, facing a similarly steep challenge to Dawn.
Taking on Big Bill in singles action, sadly for Andrews the former AEW World Tag Team Champion dispatched the Welsh star in swift fashion via a huge Bossman Slam within minutes of the bout beginning.
While the result was decisive enough, Bill wasn’t content with just defeating Andrews, as he proceeded to deliver a massive Chokeslam to his downed opponent through a pair of steel chairs.
Much like Dawn, there’s no word on whether we can expect to see Andrews make more appearances on AEW programming going forward.
Andrews competed in WWE NXT and NXT UK between 2017 and 2022, winning the NXT UK Tag Team Championships with Flash Morgan Webster as SubCulture in 2019.
Since his WWE release in August 2022, Andrews has made appearances for several different promotions , including RevPro, PROGRESS, TNA and CMLL among many others.
You can see footage of the end of his match with Big Bill on Collision down below.
