Angelina Jolie Debuts Shortest, Lightest Hair in Years

Angelina Jolie just underwent a serious hair transformation for her latest role. On Thursday, the actress was spotted in London filming Anxious People, an upcoming movie based on the 2019 novel of the same name.

Jolie looked practically unrecognizable in an icy blonde bob. Paired with an ivory wool cape and a matching bow-tie dress, she embodied her Scandinavian character, Zara. Pearl studs, a gold brooch, and a matte red lip completed her ensemble.

The last time Jolie wore a similar hairstyle was over two decades ago: in 2002, she sported a platinum Marilyn Monroe-inspired ‘do complete with curls in the romantic comedy Life or Something Like It.

Earlier this summer, People revealed Jolie’s laidback plans for her milestone birthday. The Oscar winner, who was born on June 4, seemed “genuinely excited and happy about turning 50.”

A source close to Jolie told the outlet that she didn’t “want a big party.” Instead, she spent time with her six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.

“So much of her 40s were rough. She’s in a much better place now,” People‘s source continued. Jolie finalized her divorce from actor Brad Pitt late last year following an eight-year legal battle. “The kids are amazing and thriving. There is less family drama.”

A separate insider told People that Jolie is embracing aging and “feels more grounded than ever” following her 50th.

“She’s not shying away from getting older, in fact she’s leaning into it,” they said. “Angie sees aging in a really positive light, especially after losing her mom so young. She feels calm, inspired, and she’s excited about what’s ahead.”
