Chicago Sky star Angel Reese expressed a clear message after participating in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
“I don’t work jobs. I AM THE JOB,” she wrote Thursday on X, quoting the 2020 song “Jobs” by City Girls.
Some of her WNBA peers watched Wednesday’s event and commented on her Instagram post about the festivities.
Reese became one of the biggest stars in women’s basketball during LSU’s 2023 run to a national championship. Her popularity carried over when she headed for the WNBA.
It helped that the 6’3″ forward made an immediate impact in the pros. She was an All-Star in each of her first two years, and she’s averaging 14.1 points and 12.9 rebounds.
Off-court success has followed.
Reese was the first pro athlete ever to model at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Her signature Reebok sneaker dropped in mid-September. She was one of three cover stars for NBA 2K26.
Reese’s on-court earnings pale in comparison to the value she’s giving the Sky. She’ll make $82,399 in 2026 and has a $93,636 club option for 2027.
The 23-year-old’s entrepreneurial spirit is making up the difference.
