Just hours before the main card of AEW’s biggest show of the year, All In Texas, Tony Khan announced Adam Cole was not medically cleared and was being stripped of the TNT championship with a new champion to be crowned later in the evening. Cole himself addressed the live crowd later in the evening with an emotional message that he could very well be saying goodbye for good.
He didn’t say exactly what led to all this but according to Fightful Select, Cole suffered yet another concussion during a match on Collision this past week. It would appear a hard lariat from Kyle Fletcher was the culprit, but he finished the match and many were none the wiser.
This isn’t the first time Cole has had issues with concussions, as he missed nine months back in 2022-2023 while recovering from one. He’s still just 36-years-old but he’s been wrestling for the better part of 18 years now, and the bumps take a toll.
Support for the longtime star has poured in and he reacted to as much on social media:
Thank you all so much. Your support in not only the good times, but the bad times, means more than I could ever explain.
I love you all. Always. https://t.co/AWZzCoSEI3

Let’s hope this isn’t the end but most of all let’s hope he gets and stays healthy.
