Big Deal Days dates, preview

It’s the prime time for some fall shopping.

Amazon just announced that its Prime Big Deal Days (aka October Prime Day) are coming back this year, bringing a slew of major markdowns on top brands.

While we mark our calendars for the big day(s), read on for everything we know about the shopping event — plus, all the best early deals you can already shop.

When is Prime Big Deal Days 2025?

Prime Big Deal Days 2025 will run from Tuesday, Oct. 7, to Wednesday, Oct. 8, per Amazon’s announcement.

Do I have to be an Amazon Prime member to shop the sale?

Yes, you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership to shop Prime Big Deal Days. The good news? New members can sign up for a 30-day free trial, allowing more than enough time to shop the sale and binge-watch several Prime Video shows.

Is October Prime Day better than Black Friday?

Both October Prime Day and Black Friday bring steep markdowns on Amazon, including top-of-the-line tech, beauty, and home products. Prime Days often offer exclusive scores just for members (think coupon codes, lightning deals, etc.).

What stores have competing sales?

While it’s unclear what this year will bring, mega-retailers like Walmart, Best Buy and Target have offered concurrent deals in the past.

Best early deals

While we still have a few weeks before the official sale kicks off, Amazon’s deals section is already filled with great markdowns — including the below celeb favorites.

Martha Stewart’s makeup artist, Daisy Toye, is similarly obsessed; “I go through a tube every week. It’s how [Stewart] gets that dewy look, like she just got a facial,” she once told People.

“Everyone says, ‘What bra do you wear? That’s the bra,” she raves of the stick-on covers, which come in four shades and are designed to be reused up to 25 times.
