- Taylor Swift was at the Kansas City Chiefs’ September 14 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, but kept a more low-profile than she usually does at Arrowhead Stadium.
- Despite the Chiefs’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, newly engaged Swift and Travis Kelce stepped out for a date night later that evening.
- The couple attended Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’s 30th birthday party at 1587 Prime Steakhouse—which is co-owned by Mahomes and Kelce—on Sunday, Swift wearing a print of the season and Gucci platform pumps.
Taylor Swift made a distinctly low-key appearance at the Kansas City Chiefs game on September 14 before joining fiancé Travis Kelce afterwards at a birthday party for Patrick Mahomes wearing a print that is poised to take over fall.
The newly engaged singer-songwriter wore a plaid miniskirt set to Mahomes’s birthday party on Sunday, as seen in photos shared by country singer Kane Brown on Instagram on September 15. Swift wore a Simkhai two-piece taupe and brown matching set with a miniskirt and vest and brown Gucci platform pumps and a beaded Chanel necklace as she helped Mahomes—who is the Chiefs’ quarterback alongside Kelce, who is the team’s tight end—ring in his 30th year.
In the photo shared by Brown, Swift and Kelce pose with Mahomes and his wife Brittany, as well as Brown and his wife Katelyn Jae. “Happy birthday Pat & congrats TT,” Brown wrote, alluding to Swift and Kelce’s recent engagement news. “Thanks for hosting us Britt.”
The party happened after the Chiefs’ first home game of the season—and Swift’s first Chiefs game since her engagement to Kelce was announced in August. Unfortunately, the score didn’t end up in the Chiefs’ favor, as the team lost to the Philadelphia Eagles—who they also lost to in the Super Bowl earlier this year—with a score of 20-17.

The group enjoyed celebrating Mahomes at the quarterback’s new restaurant he co-owns with Kelce, 1587 Prime Steakhouse, named as such to honor both men’s football numbers (Mahomes wears No. 15, while Kelce is No. 87).
Unlike in past Chiefs seasons, Swift’s arrival at Arrowhead Stadium was inconspicuous on Sunday, leaving some to wonder initially if she was even there. According to Us Weekly, while Swift normally arrives before kickoff and waves to fans assembled to greet her, “this time she seemingly waited until the game was half over, choosing instead to enter the stadium behind a moving wall,” the outlet reported.
Though Swift couldn’t be seen, eagle-eyed fans noticed Swift’s bodyguard, Drew, behind the wall, as well as Swift’s mom, Andrea, and her brother, Austin. Once inside the stadium, Swift was never seen in her usual box.

The singer addressed the attention put on her during Kelce’s games in a December 2024 profile for TIME, telling the outlet, “I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”
“I’m just there to support Travis,” she added. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

Ahead of 1587 Prime Steakhouse’s official opening on September 17—which also marks Mahomes’s actual birthday—this isn’t Swift’s first time to the restaurant, which bears a drink in her honor, “The Alchemy,” named after a song off of Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department. Swift and Kelce also were at the steakhouse for a PDA-filled date night to its soft opening earlier this month.
