Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce haven’t even set a date yet, but their wedding guest list is already making headlines. Over the past year, insiders have floated names like Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Selena Gomez, and Patrick and Brittany Mahomes. Reports this month added another wrinkle: Kelce is apparently lobbying for a blowout bash while Swift is eyeing something smaller at her Rhode Island estate. In other words, the invites are tight — and even Kelce’s own circle knows it.
On the September 12 episode of Pardon My Take, comedian Andrew Santino recalled golfing with Kelce back in April or May, when the NFL star casually mentioned he was planning to propose to Swift. The engagement went public on August 26, and Santino FaceTimed to congratulate his friend. But when it comes to the wedding itself? He isn’t holding his breath.

“He’s got a lot of dogs from Ohio that he’s loyal to,” Santino said, per Us Weekly. “We met later in life … I’m an adult friend. I don’t think I got that invite. You know she’s controlling that guest list.” He even joked his dad might have a better shot at an invite.
The honesty may sting, but it checks out. Swift said on her New Heights debut that Kelce’s loyalty to his childhood crew was a “huge green flag.” She’s built the same kind of circle herself, staying close with high school best friend Abigail Anderson and longtime fixtures Selena Gomez and Ashley Avignone.
So yes, Santino’s brutal take might read as self-deprecating, but it highlights the point. Swift and Kelce aren’t filling the room with every celebrity they’ve brushed shoulders with. They’ll be surrounded by the people who’ve seen them through the long haul. For anyone on the fringe — even famous friends — that probably means watching from the sidelines.
