Yoel Romero is still knocking people out at 48 years of age, and now he’s doing so without gloves on.
Romero faced Theo Doukas in the featured bout of BKFC 80 on Friday night at Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Fla. The multi-time UFC title challenger made his highly anticipated promotional debut and in the second round, showed why he’s still one of the most dangerous men in combat sports — delivering a trio of brutal knockdowns to his opponent. After the third time Doukas hit the canvas, the referee had seen enough and called the fight.
Check out all of Romero’s second-round knockdowns, including the fight stopping blow in the video below.
Since parting ways with the UFC, Romero has won all four of his combat sports bouts. “Soldier of God” got a win in PFL over Thiago Santos before really changing things up. Romero picked up two knockout victories for Dirty Boxing, and then made the move over to the world of BKFC.
