‘Young Sheldon’ Star Finalizes Divorce After Just 5 Months Married

Emily Osment and Jack Anthony Farina‘s marriage is now officially over after a judge finalized the divorce this week.

According to The Independent, the former celebrity couple had been married less than five months, but the judge waited until Monday, September 8 to finalize everything to honor a mandatory six-month waiting period.

Osment, 33, reportedly filed a divorce petition in Los Angeles Superior Court in March. The pair had tied the knot in October 2024 but separated just two months later, with the actress — and younger sister to Haley Joel Osment — citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

“I think with any big decision in your life, whether it’s relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision,” the Young Sheldon alum told People in a statement back in March. “Ultimately, it didn’t work out.”

TMZ initially reported the divorce filed and noted that the exes had a prenup in place, per the filing.

Osment rose to fame in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana from 2006 to 2011. She went on to star in Freeform sitcom Young & Hungry as well as the Fox drama series Almost Family.

She joined Young Sheldon in season 5 in a recurring role before being promoted to the main cast for seasons 6 and 7. Osment currently stars alongside Montana Jordan in CBS’ Young Sheldon spinoff, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

Farina is a DJ, music producer and singer-songwriter. He releases music on Soundcloud under the name Farina, as The Independent noted.

Earlier this summer, Osment’s Hannah Montana co-star Miley Cyrus revealed plans for a special 20th anniversary celebration in March.

“I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this,” Cyrus, 32, explained in the TikTok clip, acknowledging how the Disney Channel phenomenon shaped everything that followed.
