NEW YORK — New York City police are searching for the suspect who killed a 77-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman by setting them on fire in their Queens home, sources said.
The victims were inside the house when an unidentified man entered on Monday afternoon, the NYPD said.
The 77-year-old and 78-year-old appeared to have been set on fire in different parts of the home, sources told ABC News.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze while EMS responded and pronounced the victims dead, police said.
Police investigating the homicides have released video of the unknown suspect and describe him as in his 30s with a medium build and dark complexion. The NYPD asks anyone with information to call its Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
