JD Vance opened up on Fox News’ My View with Lara Trump about his emotional reactions during last year’s presidential campaign trail while discussing his relationship with his wife, Usha.

The Vice President admitted, “I’m the more emotional one. I’m the one who gets fired up and super passionate about things. She’s the person who’s always very even keel.

“On the campaign trail, when I would read something that would get me p—ed off, and ‘I can’t believe they said this about the president, it’s totally fake. I can’t believe they said this about me.'”

Vance was selected as Donald Trump’s running mate three months before the presidential election in November 2024.

Vance then disclosed his thoughts on whether he will seek the presidency in 2028. He remarked, “I don’t like thinking about it because I like thinking about the job that I have right now.”,

“If we do a good job in 2025 and 2026 then we can talk about the politics in 2027 but I really think the American people are so fed up with folks already running for the next job.

“I’m 7 months into the current one. There are a lot of great people. I think if I do end up running, it’s not going to be given to me on the Republican side or on the national side. I’m just going to keep on working hard.

“I think this is the most important job that I’ve ever had, it may be the most important job I’ll ever have outside of being a father to those 3 beautiful kids. I’m going to try to do my best job and I think if I do that the politics will sort itself out.”

However, during a recent appearance on USA Today’s Meet the Press, Vance expressed his readiness to take on the role of president and addressed concerns about Donald Trump’s health.

The Vice President, who has been noticeably absent from several key meetings recently, sat down for an exclusive interview with USA TODAY on August 27. When asked if he felt prepared to step into the role of commander in chief, the 41 year old father responded confidently.

“I’ve gotten a lot of good on-the-job training over the last 200 days,” he stated, before adding that Trump, despite being the oldest president ever inaugurated, was in “incredibly good health. He’s got incredible energy.”

Vance assured that Trump shows no signs of slowing down.

“He’s the last person making phone calls at night, and he’s the first person who wakes up and the first person making phone calls in the morning,” he shared.
