Amal Clooney is swapping her signature neutrals for bold jewel tones. On Thursday, the human rights lawyer enjoyed a date night with her husband, actor George Clooney, at the Venice Film Festival premiere of his latest flick, Jay Kelly.
Amal selected a taffeta high-low gown featuring a ruched strapless bodice adorned with buttons. Affixed to the back was a voluminous train that extended all the way to the floor. The philanthropist added on a pair of gold strappy sandals and a matching metallic clutch, while her jewelry consisted of a sparkling cocktail ring and tassel drop earrings.

Wearing her highlighted brunette tresses styled in a side part, Amal’s makeup included pops of pink blush, shimmery inner corners, and brown lip liner.
On the red carpet, the Clooneys shared some rare PDA, with George kissing his wife of over a decade on the hand.

George and Amal have been spotted several times in nearby Lake Como this past month, where they own an 18th-century luxury villa. Over the weekend, the barrister stepped out in a feather-trimmed minidress by Taller Mamo.
Amal paired her crepe long-sleeved shift with geometric stiletto sandals, topping off her ensemble with jeweled drop earrings and a gold clutch. She wore her waist-length mane in a side part with natural texture.

George, meanwhile, selected a slate gray blazer and trousers, layering his suit jacket over a round-neck T-shirt.
While Amal typically favors a neutral color palette, she’s clearly currently obsessed with magenta: a few weeks ago, she was photographed in Lake Como wearing a fuchsia frock featuring a sultry thigh-high slit and a rosette appliqué at the hip.
