Scott Wolf’s wife Kelley arrested for electronic harassment amid divorce drama

Real World alum and life coach Kelley Wolf has been arrested in Utah after making several confrontational and insulting social media posts about family members and friends, including her estranged husband, the actor Scott Wolf, with whom she’s embroiled in a contentious divorce.

Kelley, 48, was arrested Tuesday at her home in Summit County on suspicion of electronic communication harassment and electronic disclosure of personal identifying information, according to PEOPLE. Authorities told the outlet that Kelley was being held in county jail, that no formal charges had yet been filed, and that she had yet to go before a judge. It was not immediately clear if she had obtained legal representation.

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office as well as Kelley Wolf and Scott Wolf for comment.

Electronic harassment, or online harassment, refers to the use of electronic communication devices to target an individual with threatening, intimidating, or harmful behavior. It often includes doxxing, or disclosing personal identifying information such as addresses, phone numbers, or financial records without authorization.

Prior to her arrest, Kelley shared a series of alarming Instagram posts and appeared to reveal private text conversations. Some of the posts seemed to include communications with her and Scott’s children.

In a final post Tuesday evening, Kelley told her followers she was being taken into custody. “The police are at my house to arrest me. I have no idea why,” she wrote in her Instagram Stories. “Deputy Norton said I must comply and I will.”

She continued, “I am not suicidal. I am no danger to anyone. I have done nothing. He said I will go to Summit County Jail. He said I be taken into a cell and wait for a judge to make some ruling? I am so scared. So confused.”

Kelley and Scott, 57, married in 2004 and share two sons, 16, and 12, as well as an 11-year-old daughter. They announced their split in June, and days later, Kelley posted a video of herself being detained by law enforcement. Upon her release, she said she’d been placed under an “involuntary 5150” hold.

Scott was subsequently granted temporary sole physical and temporary sole legal custody of their children, and he was also given a temporary restraining order against Kelley. The restraining order was lifted July 19. That month Kelley also claimed she was placed under a second involuntary hold that lasted a week.

Scott broke his silence on the tumultuous split earlier this month, telling PEOPLE that he was compelled to do so after Kelley allegedly made “deeply disturbing and entirely false allegations” against him.

“There are some significant challenges that are making our situation incredibly difficult and contentious, and it is tragic for all involved,” the Party of Five star said in a statement. “I am now choosing to come forward and share that she has described to me her plans to ‘make claims’ about me, although she also admitted, ‘I do not believe they’re true,’ in order to gain an advantage in what she sees as a ‘battle’ in court, and in the court of public opinion.”

Scott provided text messages from Kelley, which were reviewed by PEOPLE, in which she outlined her supposed plans to make allegations of “psychological abuse, child abuse, child endangerment, [and] stealing with passports” about her estranged husband. Scott reiterated that the claims “are completely baseless and incredibly dangerous,” calling them “traumatic for our children.”

In her own statement to PEOPLE, Kelley said, “I will be very clear when I say this: I don’t believe that Scott would [abuse our children]. I’ve lost my career, my reputation, my children, my integrity, my honor, my devotion to my marriage. As a parent, I have literally lost everything except my life. I’ve done everything strategic, and I’m hopeful for my children.”
