Trump Has Wild 2 A.M. Freakout Over ‘Very Disrespectful’ Governor

President Donald Trump on Thursday launched a new attack on Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) at a very unusual time: 2:12 a.m.

Writing on Truth Social, the president shared a link to an August 2024 story in which Moore said he made an “honest mistake” when he listed a Bronze Star from his military service on a White House application in 2006.

At that time, he had not received the award.

“But is that the end of his political career,” Trump wrote. “He was very disrespectful to the Office of the President!”

Moore had listed the medal on an application for a fellowship, later saying his commanding officer, Lt. Gen. Michael Fenzel, told him he had the necessary approvals and urged him to include it.

However, the paperwork never went through, leading to questions over his inclusion of the Bronze Star on his application as well as Moore not correcting TV hosts who mentioned the award during interviews.

Trump’s complaint of Moore being “very disrespectful” likely stems from a feud between the two, which began last week. Moore invited Trump to walk through Baltimore with him in response to the president’s use of troops in Washington and his threat to send soldiers to other U.S. cities.

Trump called the invitation “nasty and provocative,” slammed Moore as a “failing” governor, and threatened to withhold federal funding for the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which collapsed last year after being hit by a cargo ship that lost power.

“Did Wes Moore, the Governor of Maryland, lie about getting a Bronze Star?” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Moore ― who served in Afghanistan ― fired back by calling Trump “President Bone Spurs,” a reference to a disputed diagnosis the president used to duck military service during the Vietnam War.

He also defended his service again Tuesday in a post on X:
