Barely a week remains until the 2025 NFL season kicks off with the season opening game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys set for Thursday, September 4.
That means the offseason is all but over. Free agency and the draft are distant memories, and the preseason and training camp are complete, as all 32 teams across the league trimmed their rosters down to 53 prior to 4pm New York time Tuesday ahead of the regular season.
With rosters being reduced, that means the waiver wire has been flooded with players who could potentially be attractive to other teams, as teams look to fill their final needs ahead of the start of the regular season. For the Seattle Seahawks and their fans that, of course, means fretting about whether or not any of the waived players will make it through and be available to sign to the practice squad.
With the deadline for teams to have claimed players off waivers, exactly which former Seahawks will be on their way to a new team after being claimed is now known, and that number is zero. Last season the Seahawks lost Jon Rhattigan and Jamie Sheriff to the Carolina Panthers, only for Sheriff to return to Seattle when the Panthers let him go.
