The Jets began to fill their practice squad Wednesday, signing 13 players. They will be able to sign 17 since OL Leander Wiegand meets the international pathway guidelines.
All of the players spent the summer with the Green & White, including QB Brady Cook, rookie WRs Jamaal Pritchett and Quentin Skinner, and K Harrison Mevis.
S Dean Clark
Over three summer games, Clark (6-1, 206) totaled 9 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT and 2 PDs. The rookie, who played at Kent State and Fresno State, registered 203 tackles, 18 PDs and 5 INTs in 58 college games.
DB Jordan Clark
Clark (5-9, 184), who signed as an undrafted free agent in May, had 3 tackles in preseason play. Over his six-year collegiate career at Arizona State and Notre Dame, Clark totaled 176 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 26 pass defenses and 4 interceptions in 57 games (31 starts).
QB Brady Cook
One of 15 UDFAs to sign with the Jets on May 9, Cook (6-2, 215) completed 65.8% (25 -of- 38) of his passes in the preseason for 235 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. Cook, who went 26-12 as a starter at Missouri from 2022-24, threw for 8,591 yards, 46 touchdowns and 15 interceptions while completing 64.6% of his passes. The St. Louis native also has a career 1,209 rushing yards. A team captain in 2024, he’s the only player in Missouri football history with a pass, run and catch of at least 75 yards.
WR Tyler Johnson
Johnson (6-1, 208) was signed by the Jets as an unrestricted free agent in March. The Minnesota product was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. A final cut by Tampa Bay in August 2022, he signed with Houston for the ’22 season, was waived in October and returned to the Bucs via their practice squad. After a brief offseason stop with Las Vegas, he signed with the Los Angeles Rams for 2023-24. Johnson has played in 49 NFL games and has 76 receptions for 828 yards (10.9 yards/catch) and 4 touchdowns across five seasons. He recorded 2 receptions for 27 yards in this summer’s preseason contest vs. the Packers.
OL Kohl Levao
Levao (6-6, 350), who played in college at Hawaii, was signed by the Jets in June 2024, waived in August and re-signed to the practice squad. He was signed to a Reserve/Futures contract this past January. After he was not selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, Levao spent time playing indoors and then in the UFL for San Antonio in 2024, playing in all 12 games and making the All-UFL team. In the 2025 preseason he saw significant time on the offensive line for the Jets, taking 60 snaps (86%) against Green Bay, 32 snaps (44%) against the Giants and 69 snaps (100%) last week against the Eagles.
K Harrison Mevis
After converting on 95.2% of his field-goal attempts (20 -of -21) for the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions, Mevis (5-11, 243) signed with the Jets on June 18. He was 3 -of -4 in preseason play with his only miss coming from 55 yards out against the Eagles.
DT Payton Page
Page (6-4, 300) had 3 tackles and 1 sack in the preseason. A one-year starter and a team captain for Clemson, Page totaled 32 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 2 pass defenses and an interception in the 2024 season.
