Keegan Bradley should lean into unconventional with Ryder Cup picks

When Keegan Bradley was tabbed to captain the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup team 13 months ago, it was such an out-of-the-box pick that even he wondered if he was being punked.

And now, as Bradley announces his six captain’s picks on Wednesday morning from the PGA of America headquarters in Frisco, Texas, the situation calls for the same strategy.

Sure, there will be some no-brainers to pick from the Ryder Cup points standings after the first six who automatically qualified on points, those being Scottie Scheffler, J.J. Spaun, Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, Harris English and Bryson DeChambeau.

But Bradley should be open to straying from convention when it comes to his final six picks.
