Broncos make series of transactions to reach 53-player roster limit

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have made a series of transactions to reach the league-mandated 53-player roster limit.

Ahead of the 2 p.m. MT deadline on Tuesday, Denver waived the following players: inside linebackers Levelle Bailey and Jordan Turner; wide receivers Michael Bandy, Courtney Jackson, Jerjuan Newton, A.T. Perry and Kyrese Rowan; tackle Marques Cox; running back Audric Estime; tight ends Caleb Lohner and Caden Prieskorn; cornerbacks Damarri Mathis, Quinton Newsome, Jaden Robinson and Reese Taylor; center Joe Michalski; nose tackle Jordan Miller; outside linebacker Garrett Nelson; guard Will Sherman; defensive back Keidron Smith; and safety Delarrin Turner-Yell. Running back Blake Watson was waived with an injury settlement, while defensive tackle Kristian Williams was designated as waived/injured.

The Broncos also released quarterback Sam Ehlinger, safety Sam Franklin Jr., fullback Adam Prentice, guard Calvin Throckmorton and linebacker Garret Wallow. Players who are released are not required to pass through waivers.

Denver also designated fullback Michael Burton as reserve/injured and linebacker Drew Sanders as reserve/injured (Designated for Return). Sanders is eligible to return to play after Week 4, while Burton is not able to return during the 2025 season.
