KJ Apa and Madelyn Cline co-star in the new Prime Video movie The Map That Leads to You, and they both notably got their starts in Hollywood in teen dramas.
If you don’t know, KJ starred in The CW’s Riverdale while Madelyn is currently involved in Netflix’s Outer Banks.
In a new joint interview, KJ shared, “Yeah, there’s a lot of drama that comes on shows like that. Not to say in like a gossipy kind of way, but it’s just part of the environment, I guess. Part of the deal.”
EW then shared that he kept “doubling down on how teen TV costars ‘have sex’ with each other.”

KJ then said about co-stars, “You have sex with them and stuff, and then things start happening. And then things get a little complicated, and then you’re on set, and now you’re fighting with them.”
Madelyn then piped in and said, “So it’s the same in Vancouver [where Riverdale was filmed]?”
“You sort of just have sex with them, and then you just sort of see what happens. It’s just part of the deal,” KJ continued.
Apparently at this point in the interview, they were both laughing.
KJ then shared, “I was a virgin when I started on that show, too, for the first couple years. I was a proud Christian boy. I was.”
If you don’t know, Riverdale premiered in early 2017 and KJ would have been 19 years old at the time. He famously starred alongside Cole Sprouse, Camila Mendes, and Lili Reinhart.
Cole and Lili did famously date, but KJ was never publicly linked to his co-stars. Madelyn also ended up dating her Outer Banks co-star Chase Stokes for years as well.
