How do I add Daily Mail to Google’s preferred sources?
Adding Daily Mail as a preferred source in Google is simple. You can use this shortcut or follow the steps below:
- Open Google in your preferred browser and search any topic in the news
- Click on the icon to the right of ‘Top Stories’
- Type Daily Mail in the search bar when prompted
- Select Daily Mail as your preferred source
- Refresh your browser to see Daily Mail content in your Google Top Stories
Google users can update their preferred sources selections at any time.
The new feature also allows users to designate as many outlets as they want as a preferred news source.
‘When you select your preferred sources, you’ll start to see more of their articles prominently displayed within Top Stories, when those sources have published fresh and relevant content for your search,’ Google said in a statement.
Preferred sources will not only appear more frequently in Top Stories, but will also be found in a dedicated ‘From your sources’ section on the search results page.
This new feature was launched to users in the US and India on August 12.
