Go Fest: Max Finale Timed Research is a free quest available to everyone in Pokémon Go. Since it’s tied to the Max Finale event, you must complete it before 6pm (local time) on Sunday 24th August. Miss this deadline and the quest, along with its rewards, will vanish forever.

Rewards: Eight Grookey Candy XL, eight Scorbunny Candy XL and eight Sobble Candy XL.

You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest.

Don’t forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you’re hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.


How does Go Fest Max Finale Timed Research work in Pokémon Go?

To get the Go Fest: Max Finale Timed Research quest you must login into Pokémon Go during the Max Finale event hours. After doing so, it should be automatically unlocked. If it doesn’t, try closing and reopening the game.)

Just keep in mind that the event hours are between 10am to 6pm (local time) on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August. Attempting to unlock the quest outside of these hours won’t do anything!
