If you’ve been online at all over the past couple of years, you’ve likely scrolled by TikTok videos from Lucky Blue Smith and Nara Smith. Who knows, maybe you’ve even watched one or two of them. No judgment here!

The last time we talked about Nara — who is regularly associated with “tradwife” discourse, for what it’s worth — it was last month, when she was under fire for seemingly suggesting that she drank raw milk while pregnant. That video, by the way, has since been taken down.

Now here’s a video that hasn’t been taken down (at least, yet) — a newly-posted TikTok of Nara and Lucky unspooling some of the “unspoken rules” in their marriage.

In the video, Lucky reveals that one of the rules of their relationship is that he doesn’t let Nara drive — and if you think the rule is bizarre and regressive, let me assure you that his explanation is even worse.

“One thing I do is I drive no matter what,” Lucky said, before Nara added that she doesn’t even “try” to take the wheel if he’s in her physical presence. “I really get bothered when I see girls driving a guy,” he added. “I don’t know why. I just don’t like it.”

I’m going to keep it real — a lot of the comments on TikTok are pretty impressed with what they had to say about this and their relationship in general, and I decidedly am not. I just think it’s weird to have rules preventing your spouse from doing anything in general…but hey, that’s just me!
