WWE News: SmackDown ending reshot for USA Network airing

WWE slightly changed the ending to this week’s SmackDown when it aired on the USA Network.

In both the live version and USA Network’s version of the airing, John Cena is seen leaving the arena when he is stopped by Nick Aldis, who informs Cena that he has heard from Brock Lesnar. However, two different attacks were shot. In the live version that aired on Netflix, Logan Paul emerged off camera and sucker punched John Cena before Aldis could reveal what Lesnar said.

The ending that aired on the USA Network, however, was slightly different. Instead of off camera, the scene was shot differently so Paul could be seen entering the shot, shoving Aldis away and punching Cena right in the face. Both segments ended with Aldis tending to Cena.

SmackDown aired live on Netflix internationally at 3 pm ET as this week’s show took place in Dublin, Ireland. It aired as usual in the United States several hours later at 8 pm ET.

Paul and Cena are scheduled to meet at WWE Clash in Paris next weekend. A confrontation between the two took place earlier in the show, ending when John Cena gave Logan Paul an AA.
