This week’s SmackDown features quite a surprise.
WWE SmackDown took place on Friday, August 22, 2025, in Dublin, Ireland at the 3Arena. That included quite a match in the women’s division.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair are still riding high as Women’s Tag Team Champions. However, they have some competition in the Secret Hervice.
This week on SmackDown, Charlotte Flair took on Piper Niven in singles action. This continued the feud between the two sides. That being said, the result of this match was a bit of a surprise.
After a bit of confusion, Charlotte Flair took a hit and then ate Piper Niven’s diver to get pinned in clean fashion. After the match, Piper Niven celebrated this big upset.
Charlotte Flair has won over a dozen titles in her time with WWE, and she is a shoo-in WWE Hall of Famer. Any loss for her should be taken seriously, and this was a big time defeat for her to suffer in Ireland.
We will have to see what is next for Piper Niven. Obviously, WWE has their eye on her as she continues to give her that kind of victory over The Queen.
