Tonight’s WWE NXT airing August 19, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from the Met Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The show opens up with TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Je’von Evans, Fatal Influence, Chelsea Green and her Secret Hervice and WWE NXT North American Champion Ethan Page arriving to the arena.

Vic Joseph, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Corey Graves then welcomes us to the show as Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura begin brawling in the back before their match officially starts.

Philadelphia Street Fight: Yoshiki Inamura vs. Josh Briggs

The match starts off with Briggs being sent into the ring steps when Inamura moves. Inamura then drop kicks Briggs on the floor. Inamura then hits a flying shoulder tackle off the stage and he chops Briggs. Inamura then cinches in a waist lock and Briggs responds with a back elbow. Briggs then Irish whips Inamura into the stage. Briggs then hits a suplex on the floor. Briggs then sends Inamura onto the stage and they make their way back into the ring. Briggs then goes under the ring and he gets a chair, then tosses it at Inamura and he nails it three times. Briggs then kicks Inamura in the head and he puts a chair into the turnbuckles. Briggs then hits Inamura in the back with the chair.

Briggs then puts another chair in the turnbuckles. Inamura then hits a forearm and Briggs fires back. Inamura then hits a chop and Briggs hits a kick to the leg. Both men then exchange forearms and Briggs hits a boot to the head. Briggs then hits a side slam onto the chair. Briggs then misses a splash and lands on the chair. Inamura then Irish whips Briggs into a chair in the turnbuckles and he follows it up with a second one. Inamura then hits a slam onto the chair and he gets a near fall. Inamura then gets a kendo stick, but he puts it down to grab a baseball bat. Briggs then throws the chair at Inamura’s knee to release the chair and hits a Russian leg sweep. Briggs then stomps on the bat. Inamura then avoids being sent into the turnbuckles and Briggs is sent into the chair in the turnbuckles. Inamura then hit some kicks on Briggs.

Inamura then hits some chops and he sets up for a suplex and he hits it. Inamura then gets a near fall. Inamura then tosses a trash can into the ring and hits Briggs with it. Briggs then hits an atomic drop onto the trash can and follows it up with a boot. Briggs then goes under the ring and he tosses more chairs into the ring. Briggs then gets a guardrail from under the ring. Briggs then bridges the guardrails onto a set of chairs. Briggs then hits a punch on Inamura on the apron and he sets up for a superplex onto the guardrail and he hits it. Briggs then goes under the ring and he throws something into the ring. Briggs then gets a kendo stick or two and he throws one at Inamura. Briggs then tapes Inamura’s arms to the rope. Briggs then has the kendo stick and he hits Inamura in the back with it. Briggs then hits Inamura again. Briggs then hits a third kendo stick shot to the back. Briggs hits him again and Inamura pulls himself off the ropes. Briggs then begs for mercy and Inamura chops a kendo stick and knocks it away. Inamura then hits some chops on Briggs all over the body. Inamura then hits some palm strikes on Briggs in the corner and follows it up with chops and punches.

Inamura then hits another chop and Briggs is down. Inamura then puts the trash can over Briggs’ head and he punches the trash can and chops it as well. Inamura then gets the baseball bat and he swings for the fences and Briggs is down. Inamura then hits a uranage onto the trash can. Inamura then gets a table from under the ring while Briggs is bleeding. Briggs then wraps a chain around his hand while Inamura sets up the table. Inamura then hits a forearm to get Briggs on the table. Inamura then goes up top for the springing frog splash, but Briggs recovers and hits Inamura with the chain. Inamura then gets Briggs on the table again and he hits the springing frog splash, but Briggs kicks out at two. Inamura then gets another table and sets it up. Inamura then gets one more table. Both men then play tug of war with the other table and Briggs pushes it into Inamura’s nether regions. Briggs then hits a clothesline using the chain and he puts Inamura on the table. Briggs then hits a moonsault for the win.

We then take a look at NXT General Manager Ava making TNA’s Masha Slamovich the special guest referee for the 6-Woman Tag Team Match for later tonight.

As Ricky Saints is making his way down to the ring for the next match of the night, Josh Briggs bumps into him and makes his way to the back.

We then head to the back, where Sarah Schreiber is interviewing Trick Williams and she asks him about his match against Je’Von Evans. Williams says he loves himself some him. Williams then says he did what he was supposed to do and he beat Moose down. Williams then says Evans must be stupid if he thinks he can win. Williams then says Evans flips and flies. Williams then says Evans like to bounce, but he will bounce Evans back to high school. Williams then says he will see Oba Femi at Heatwave and become three time champion. Williams then says let’s talk about it.

Jasper Troy then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night.

Singles Match: Ricky Saints vs. WWE LFG season one winner Jasper Troy

The match starts off with Ricky Saints hitting an enzuigiri and punching Jasper Troy, but Troy picks up Saints and Saints cinches in a rear naked choke. Troy then drops to a knee. Troy then backs Saints into the turnbuckles. but Saints holds on. Troy then gets Saints off his back, but Saints climbs back on and he backs Troy into the turnbuckles. Saints then hits a kick from the apron and he goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall.

Troy then kicks Saints off the ropes when Saints goes for a springboard move. Troy then goes to the floor and he head butts Saints. Troy then sends Saints into the apron a few times. Both men then return to the ring and Troy kicks Saints. Troy then chokes Saints in the ropes and the referee warns Troy. Troy then hits a slam and a splash on Saints. Troy then hits a leaping elbow drop for a near fall. Troy then stands on Saints’ back. Saints then hits some punches on Troy. Troy then hits a knee and a forearm to the back of Saints. Troy then hits an irish whip that sends Saints’ sternum first into the turnbuckles. Troy then chokes Saints and argues with the referee. Troy then cinches in an abdominal stretch.

Saints then hits an elbow to escape. Troy then hits a knee and he returns to the abdominal stretch. Troy then hits punches on Saints and Saints responds with kicks to the leg. Troy then hits a running body block. Troy then misses an elbow drop and Saints hits a kick and some chops. Saints then hits some punches, but Troy hits a punch to stop Saints. Saints then goes for a Fujiwara arm bar. Troy then avoids a side slam and Saints hits a Samoan drop. Saints then goes up top and he goes for a moonsault, but Troy moves and Saints lands on his feet. Troy then sends Saints into the turnbuckles a few times and hits him with some shoulders. Troy then runs into a boot and he goes shoulder first into the ring post when Saints moves. Troy then catches Saints on a plancha and sends Saints into the ring steps. Troy then places Saints on the steps and Saints moves when Troy goes for a back senton onto the steps. Saints then hits a tornado DDT onto the stage. Troy is up first and both men return to the ring. Saints then hits a tornado DDT for the win.

We then see NXT General Manger Ava chatting with Hank and Tank backstage. Hank and Tank then demands to know which DarkState members they are facing at Heatwave. Ava says she doesn’t know. Hank and Tank then leaves. The Personal Concierge then shows up and introduces Ava to The Elegance Brand. The Concierge then demands that Masha Slamovich not referee their upcoming match. Ava then introduces The Elegance Brand to Masha. The Concierge then says Masha has a look of bias and he is going to find a lawyer to fix things.

We then see Jordynne Grace walking in the backstage area.

Jordynne Grace then makes her way down to the ring. Grace starts off by saying she came to NXT after traveling the world, being in hundreds of locker rooms and building a reputation. Grace then says she knew she has weaknesses that would set her back, but she didn’t expect a friendship to set her back. Grace then says she watches wrestling and has been in the business for fifteen years, meaning she knew how wrestling friendships pan out. Grace then says she thought she would be the exception and being in WWE has been an adjustment. Grace then says she doesn’t want revenge, but Blake Monroe has shown exactly who she is.

Monroe’s music then hits and she makes her way out along with several security guards and a contract in hand. Monroe says they are meant to be insurance to make sure that Grace doesn’t lay a hand on her, then explains that the contract states that should Grace lay a hand on her, then their match at Heatwave is off. Grace then says Monroe has been right about a lot of things, but she’s wrong about one thing. Grace then says Monroe was at WWE Evolution, but she didn’t wrestle and was at ringside. Grace then reminds Monroe that she wrestled as one of the main characters at Evolution, then tells Monroe that she thinks she is jealous of her. Grace then says Evolution must have been a harsh reality check for her and Monroe is a disgusting snake.

Monroe then says Grace can’t control herself and doesn’t have a calm bone in her body and she is just playing a WWE Superstar. She then says now that she’s in NXT, there isn’t room for both of them on NXT. Monroe then dares Grace to hit her and Grace tells Monroe she doesn’t need to touch her to show her what will happen at Heatwave. Grace then goes after the four security guards. She then hits a spinebuster on one of the security guards and clotheslines another one of the ring as the third one decides to retreat. Grace then tells Monroe that she will show her what ugly really looks like at Heatwave.

Fatal Influence are then warming up backstage and badmouthing The Elegance Brand. Lainey Reid then passes them by and wishes them luck in their upcoming match. Sol Ruca and ZARIA then shows up to trash talk Fatal Influence a bit. After Fatal Influence leaves, Lainey tells Sol at least Jacy defends both her titles. Sol then tells ZARIA she now has the need for speed.

Sarah Schreiber is now interviewing Je’Von Evans and she asks him about his match against Trick Williams. Evans says he is not surprised Trick abandoned him last week. Evans then says Trick is goofy and Trick knows that he has his number. Evans then says to be a champion, he has to feel like a champion. Evans then says to get to Oba, he has to get past Trick. Evans then says Trick has it locked in and trying to do so much, but he just wants to be champion. Evans then says soon he will whoop that trick.

The Elegance Brand then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Fatal Influence follows.

6-Woman Tag Team Match (Special Guest Referee: TNA’s Masha Slamovich): Fatal Influence (WWE NXT Women’s Champion and TNA Knockouts World Champion Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx) vs. The Elegance Brand (TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Ash and Heather By Elegance and M By Elegance)

The match starts off with M Be Elegance and Fallon Henley and both women lock up. M then hits a forearm and she poses. Henley then hits a chop, but M blocks a kick. Henley then hits a body scissors take down and she gets a near fall. Henley then hits an Irish whip and elbow into the corner. Nyx then tags in and she kicks M. Nyx then hits a springboard kick for a near fall. M then misses a clothesline and Nyx hits a drop kick. M then hits a back heel kick and a knee lift. Heather then tags in and she goes up top and gets on M’s shoulders and M drops Heather onto Nyx for a near fall. Ash then tags in and she goes for a Glam Slam, but Nyx gets a rollup for a near fall. Nyx then escapes a slam and Jayne tags in. Ash then pushes Jayne and Jayne pushes back. Ash then gets a rollup for a near fall. Jayne then gets a rollup and she gets a near fall. Ash then gets a near fall. Jayne then hits an Irish whip and a hip attack into the corner. Henley then tags in and hits a sliding clothesline for a near fall. Henley then sends Ash into the turnbuckles and hits a chop. Ash then misses a clothesline and the Personal Concierge grabs Henley’s leg. Slamovich then sends him to the back.

Ash then gets a near fall on Henley. Ash then hits some forearms to the back of the head. Ash then sends Henley into the turnbuckles and M tags in. M then sends Henley into the turnbuckles. She then sends Henley into the turnbuckles again. M then hits a bicycle kick in the corner for a near fall. M then hits a snap mare and she stretches Henley. Henley then hits a forearm and a rollup for a near fall. M then hits a clothesline. Heather then tags in and she hits Henley with a drop toe hold. Henley then hits a forearm and Heather stomps on the hands and follows it up with a DDT for a near fall. Heather then chokes Henley in the ropes. Ash then hits a kick while Masha deals with Heather. Ash then tags in and she kicks Henley in the corner. M then tags in and she kicks Henley. Ash then tags in and she snap mares Henley, then applies a reverse chin lock.

Henley then hits some elbows and an arm drag. Ash then sends Henley into the turnbuckles and Henley hits some forearms. Ash then hits a knee and an Irish whip, then follows it up with a handspring back elbow into the corner. M and Heather then hit sliding boots on the apron and Heather gets a near fall. Heather then misses a double jump moonsault when Henley moves. M and Jayne then tag in and Jayne hits some clotheslines, then follows it up with a neck breaker on Ash. Jayne then sends Heather into M and hits a super kick. Jayne then hits a cannonball on M and she hits a senton off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Henley then tags in and so does Nyx. Henley and Nyx then hits a double flapjack and double Natural Selection. Jayne then hits a knee for a near fall. Ash then knocks Jayne and Henley off the apron. M then hits a super kick and Heather tags in. Ash then tags in and M cinches in a bow and arrow, then follows it up with a double stomp from Heather. Ash then hits a Meteora for a near fall. All women then get involved and Henley sends M onto the announce desk. Ash then hits a swanton on Nyx, but Nyx is able to kick out. Jayne then hits an elbow for the win.

After the match, Ash and Masha have a shoving match in the ring.

We then see Charlie Dempsey giving Kendal Grey some technical wrestling tips backstage. Wren Sinclair then shows up and notes that you can’t really teach much to someone who has a 60-0 college wrestling record. Dempsey then says he has a 600-0 record in college. The Culling then shows up to talk trash. Dempsey then says Wren can kick all their heads in. Izzi Dame then says we’ll maybe have to see that later. Wren then berates Dempsey for picking a fight with the numbers disadvantage.

We then see shots of the wrestlers in the upcoming peace treaty segment being shown in the backstage area.

Chelsea Green and Ethan Page then make their way down to the ring with The Secret Hervice (Alba Fyre and Piper Niven). Fyre and Niven then dump the table out of the ring as a means of allowing for the space between the two parties to be closed. Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele then make their way down to the ring. Page starts off by saying as a Canadian he takes pride in having a peaceful and diplomatic discussion. He then says he credits Heights for becoming a solo star and fight his way out of No Quarter Catch Crew, but his issue with him is that he sees him as an opportunity rather than the greatest North American Champion of all time. Page then says Heights is still brand new in the world of professional wrestling and while it’s extraordinary he’s an Olympic gold medalist, there is no second or third place in wrestling. Page then says when you lose in wrestling, you go home empty handed and there is only gold which he has.

Heights then says he is used to sitting across veterans who have counted him out and he thinks Page is foolish for underestimating him. Green then tells Heights there is no need to be spicy, then tells Heights that he is being rude like Americans are. She then tells Steele that she and Page are in the ring to peacefully represent a beautiful country and the superior nation, but Steele tells Green that she is talking too much with nothing to say. She then says in Philadelphia, the people speak their minds and tells Green to quiet down. Green then reminds Steele that she is the greatest Women’s United States of all time, but Steele says that her gold medal represents the best. Green then says there’s no need to escalate things, but Heights tells Green that she has decided to go back to being friendly.

Page and Heights then begin arguing with one another again, but Ava’s music hits and she makes her way out. She then informs Page and Green that they will be facing Steele and Heights in a Mixed Tag Team Match at Heatwave. Page and Green then deliver some right hands on Heights and Steele, but Heights and Steele cinch in Ankle Locks on Page and Green. Fyre and Niven then pull Green and Page out of the ring to help them escape the holds.

We then see Ricky Saints and Myles Borne in the backstage area talking about being weary of Josh Briggs. Lexis King then shows up to confront them and apologize to Myles Borne. King says he was wrong and insensitive to Borne’s condition. King then says he didn’t expect Borne to wrestle at a high level for being deaf and blind. Borne then says he’s not blind. King then sprays some mace at Borne and yells “you are now!”. Referees then run over to check on Borne.

We then head to another backstage area, where Kelani Jordan says not to take it personal when she beats Lola Vice at Heatwave. Vice then asks Jordan what she did last weekend and Vice points out that she wrestled in front of 19,000 people. Lash Legend then shows up and she says Jaida Parker doesn’t deserve to be in this match. Legend then says neither of them could go toe to toe with Nia Jax. Jordan then says it is more like ass to chest. Legend then says she is the biggest threat to the title. Jordan then says she is winning, but Vice says she is winning.

DarkState then stops NXT General Manager Ava to talk about their win last week. Ava says she was impressed, but she wants to talk about what happened after the match. Saquon then says everyone is talking about them. Joe Hendry then appears out of a cabinet because his name is mentioned. Hendry then says he wants to know who will be wrestling for the tag titles and Osiris Griffin says they will find out on Sunday. Dion then says you either get behind them or get left behind. Cutler James then says, “and you don’t want us behind you!”. Saquon then slaps Cutler in the back and yells, “why you have to say it like that, man!”. Joe and Ava then agrees that Cutler is a strange man.

Je’von Evans then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night and Trick Williams follows.

WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match: TNA World Champion Trick Williams vs. “The Young OG” Je’Von Evans

The match starts off with Trick Williams hitting a cyclone kick on Je’Von Evans for a near fall. Williams then hits another kick for a near fall. Williams then hits a slam and follows it up with a second one. Evans is bleeding from the mouth. Evans then counters a uranage into an arm drag. Evans then gets a rollup for a near fall. Evans then hits a thrust kick. Williams then hits a spinning heel kick and does some dance moves. Evans then hits a thrust kick and a slingshot head scissors for a near fall. Evans then hits some chops on Williams around the ring. Williams then hits a double thrust to the throat of Evans and follows it up with a chop. Williams then hits another chop.

Williams then misses a Booker chop and Evans hits some chops and a jab on Williams. Evans then misses a kick and Williams hits a flying clothesline. Williams then hits some punches on Evans. Williams then hits a suplex and he gets a near fall. Williams then hits a neck breaker. Williams then gets a near fall. Williams then gets a cravate. Evans then hits some punches, but Williams responds with a forearm. Williams then hits an Irish whip, but Evans slides to the apron and he kicks Williams and hits a springboard clothesline. Evans then clotheslines Williams over the top rope and to the floor. Evans then hits a plancha onto Williams. Evans then sends Williams back into the ring. Williams then stops Evans from doing a springboard move and Williams pushes Evans off the ropes onto the back edge of the announce desk. The referee then checks on Evans. Williams then stares at Oba Femi in his box. Williams then poses on the turnbuckles and the referee returns to the ring to start his count. Evans then starts to move and he makes his way to the ring and returns at nine. Williams then hits a punch. Williams then hits a punch to the jaw. Williams then picks up Evans again and Evans collapses to the mat. Williams then cinches in a guillotine.

Evans then hits some punches and Williams chokes Evans and puts him on the turnbuckles. Williams then hits a chop. Evans then punches Williams and he kicks Williams. Williams then hits a press slam. Williams then punches Evans. Williams then hits a flapjack and he looks at his hand. Williams then pie faces Evans a few times. Evans then hits punches, but they have little effect. Evans then hits more punches, but Williams hits a back fist. Evans then hits more punches on Williams. Evans then hits some punches in the corner and the referee warns him. Evans then hits a punch that sends Williams to the floor. Evans then hits a suicide dive. Both men then return to the ring and Evans hits a German suplex. Evans then goes up top and he hits a frog splash for a near fall.

Evans then hits a rebound round kick and gets a near fall. Williams then does a handstand to avoid a springboard cutter. Williams then hits a pop up punch. Williams then runs into a super kick and responds with a uranage. Evans then hits a rollup for a near fall. Williams then hits a cyclone kick and he picks up Evans and hits a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Williams then sets up for a running knee and Evans sees Mike Santana in Oba Femi’s box. Evans then hits a cutter and a double jump cutter for the win.
