Rosie O’Donnell Slams Jay Leno Over Death Threat Stunt

Rosie O’Donnell is taking aim at Jay Leno after one of his cruel late night stunts resurfaced in the new “The Biggest Loser” documentary.

The Netflix series, “Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser,” shows a clip of Leno reading aloud death threats aimed at former contestant Tracey Yukich while she sits alongside him.

O’Donnell didn’t mince words in an Instagram targeting Leno, writing “jay leno is a mean asshole” on Tuesday, alongside a photo of Yukich sitting near Leno during the distasteful segment.

O’Donnell also called out Bob Harper, a former trainer on the weight-loss reality show that first aired in 2004, on Instagram. Harper participated in the Netflix documentary and said that he stands by the actions he and members of the show did at the time.

“Ok now Bob Harper,” Rosie added in another Instagram post. “Can u not say IM SORRY. seriously- so hurtful- so cruel – come on bob.”

The Netflix documentary has made waves since its release last week. Viewers have been horrified at the documentary’s exposure of the verbal abuse and constant humiliation contestants endured, and the lack of aftercare after contestants left the show.

Jillian Michaels, another star trainer from “The Biggest Loser,” didn’t participate in the streaming series, but is unhappy with the way certain things have been portrayed in it.

Michaels took to Instagram with some receipts from her time on the show, and said it was “Wild how some folks still lie like it’s 1985 before texts and email were a thing.”
