Last week, publisher Bandai Namco accidentally leaked a trailer for a PS5 remaster of a beloved PS3 RPG. That game has finally been formally revealed, and it is officially titled Tales of Xillia Remastered.
Tales of Xillia Remastered formally revealed with new trailer
Bandai Namco announced Tales of Xillia Remastered with a new trailer that showcases all the new bells and whistles the enhanced version offers its fans. Beyond the usual visual improvements, this includes quality of life improvements like auto-save, enemy encounter toggle, and early access to the Grade Shop. It will also include DLC from the 2011 release, like character costumes and bonus items.
It should be noted that this is just a remaster of Tales of Xillia. Initially, there was speculation that this remaster could be a package that includes both the first game and its sequel, Tales of Xillia 2. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
Here is a brief description of the upcoming Tales of Xillia Remastered:
“In Tales of Xillia Remastered, players will dive into the magnificent world of Rieze Maxia where humans and spirits coexist in harmony. Players can choose to follow the story of Milla Maxwell, a mysterious woman accompanied by four powerful spirits, or Jude Mathis, and aspiring medical student from the capital. Their paths soon converge as they uncover a dangerous secret: the kingdom of Rashugal is using a weapon that drains mana, threatening the balance of the entire world. Determined to stop the destruction and restore balance, Milla and Jude embark on a daring quest to destroy the device and save their world.”
Tales of Xillia Remastered will launch for PS5 on October 31. There will be a Digital Deluxe Edition available that includes the base game, Digital Artbook, Digital Soundtrack, Battle BGM Pack, and the Super Growth Support Herb Set.
