Ruben Amorim will be hoping for an opening-weekend scalp as Manchester United host Arsenal at Old Trafford. United’s summer clearout has proved positive thus far, despite only Marcus Rashford having completed an exit at present.

Antony, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia and Alejandro Garnacho are still on the hunt for new clubs, with the latter said to have accepted a proposal from Chelsea. Sancho and Malacia are both liked by AS Roma, with the quartet set to play no part in today’s clash with the Gunners.

Despite that, the mood at Carrington has been lifted, with Amorim having installed a better culture over the summer. Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha are all in line to make their respective Premier League debuts for the Red Devils, with intrigue surrounding the Red Devils’ team selection.

Multiple players have already taken to social media with the 4:30pm kick-off closing in, dropping hints about their possible inclusiong in the starting XI.

Diogo Dalot and Leny Yoro are among those to share graphics on their social media ahead of the game. Of course, this does not mean they’ll start the game, but it does offer a big hint that they’ll be in the matchday squad.

Yoro will likely start in a back three alongside Matthijs de Ligt, although it is still unknown whether Luke Shaw or Ayden Heaven will accompany the pair.

Casemiro is in line to partner Bruno Fernandes in midfield, with the Brazilian also posting a matchday graphic on Instagram, which could provide another clue.

Patrick Dorgu is another to have done so, with the Danish international a likely option over on the left-hand side of Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system.

Finally, Bryan Mbeumo is surely a shoo-in over in the right number 10 spot, with Cunha and Sesko the most likely pair to accompany him in attack.

Andre Onana will hope to overcome a late fitness test to start in between the sticks, despite having played 0 minutes across all five of United’s pre-season games.
