KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – University of North Carolina women’s soccer fell 2-0 to Tennessee in the season opener Thursday evening.
Both teams were scoreless through the first half. Carolina had the first two shots of the game early at the 1:02 and 2:16 marks. The Tar Heels were unable to capitalize on the early opportunities leaving the first half without a goal.
UNC was able to hold off Tennessee in the first half before the Vols went on to add two goals in the second resulting in a loss for Carolina.
